On Sunday night we had the Keechler's over to celebrate Palm Sunday with us. We started by learning the primary song "Hosanna" which is fun because it has two parts and is sung in round. After we practiced if a few times and got is down, we showed a picture of the Savior's triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and discussed why it was important.
Then everyone chose parts and got dressed.
They find the perfect donkey tied up and take him. The owner asks why they are taking the donkey. They say it is for the Lord, and he lets them take it - no problem.
Then the apostles throw their cloaks on the donkey for Christ to sit on.
(Nathan is such a versatile actor - he can be a Nazi and a donkey, all in the same weekend!)
When our little play was over, we sang our now-perfected Hosanna song again, had a family prayer, and ate chocolate chip cookies. Thanks for joining us Keechlers! You made our crowd of people in Jerusalem really feel like a crowd. Love you guys!
