But Derek did break the table. All he did was lean his elbows on the table and it went down! I heard a HUGE crash and ran in to find Derek standing there, bewildered. The large lazy susan, and all the pots and plants that had been on the table were now a jumbled mass on the floor between the two table halves, but luckily only one pot broke.
Truth is, the table has been sagging for a while now. I suspect some, or several, boys, who don't know their own weight took a trip across the top of that table a few too many times.
Something gets broken around here every day (why can't something get fixed everyday too?) This time it was the kitchen table. Wonder what it will be tomorrow?
