Only Two Exceptions

Caleb was having a VERY bad day, because he wasn't allowed to do a few things that he was just too young for.  He came into my room fuming mad and announced: "Everything in the whole world is super dumb!" (Don't we all feel like that sometimes? I sure do!)

Then came the exemptions.  "Everything is dumb EXCEPT only for my Grandpa that died, and Jesus.  They are NOT dumb.  I don't want grandpa or Jesus mad at me, but everything else in the whole world is super dumb!"

That kid knows how to cover his tail, doesn't he?

He may be mad, but he is smart. Keep the most important people happy. It is tough to be young with older siblings who get to do stuff they are too young to do. Ayden has that problem sometimes as well.

Oops! I know I am the object of his wrath. When we dropped off the boys he came running out to the car and exclaimed, "I know how to work good and Gamma won't let me work!!" He was not happy with me. I told him I knew he was a good worker, but he just wasn't old enough to paint. He had to be 9. He said, "How about six?" I stuck by my guns and said, "Sorry, nine."
He just had a very sad face. All I could do was hug him. Sorry Caleb.
