While Dennis and the boys were off at scout camp I decided last minute to run off to San Diego with my parents and sister where we met up with my brother's now larger family as he introduced us to his sweet 2 week old baby girl.
Elizabeth let me try my hand at taking baby pictures - I'll post some later after I have a chance to play with them a bit). The little boys were fascinated by that tiny baby girl.
We all spent the day at the San Diego zoo. As soon as we walked in I ran into my friend Lillie. We ran into several other people we know from here. I think everyone we know went to San Diego that weekend! What a zoo San Diego is!
We were so glad Elizabeth, recovering from a C-section was able to join us, thanks entirely to a rented wheel chair.

The Signs family made quite a parade through the zoo with a wheel chair and 2 strollers!

Little Jon wanted so bad to push his mama.

My baby brother Rick - I can't believe he has two babies of his own!
Yes, we look alike (only I have more hair! - on my head, that is.)

Luke was not happy about being strapped into his stroller, after I got tired of chasing him down. Captivity!

Here Luke is showing me his tiny carved rhino he bought with his own money, and his change. It is funny, because Caleb had several coins, about 83 cents, that he had been carrying around all week begging me to let him spend. He brought it to the zoo, and kept asking what he could buy with it. I said he wouldn't be able to find anything for that amount, especially at an overpriced zoo gift shop. But while we were walking around, Caleb disappeared, and came back in a few minutes with a small carved wood animal that he had discovered for only 75 cents, and purchased all by himself. He was so proud of his purchase! I was amazed that he found such a cool thing within his budget. It was so cool, in fact, that my other boys all bought one, and my brother, and my sister, also picked out tiny wood animals for their own kids. Good job Caleb! That kid is a born shopper who can really sniff out a deal. He must get it from his mom!

I love my wonderful parents! (Wish I could get dad to smile with some teeth!)
We enjoyed my sister Natalee's visit so much! We are so grateful for her husband, Gary, for making it possible for her to come. Mom just loved having her baby girl back.
After the Zoo, we all went to Chevy's for a late dinner before all hitting the sack!

What great pictures. I loved every moment we had together. Just wish everyone could have been there.
