Well, this is kind of like that, only it wasn't a piece of silver, but a thousand bucks. And I didn't lose it, but it was swindled away from me in a corrupt bait-and-switch camera and lens scheme by some low-down rotten slimeballs who then used my card number to run up $9,400 in fraudulent purchases. And I didn't light a candle, but I did flip open my laptop and research all the dirt I could dig up on these guys. And, no, I didn't sweep my house (though I sure did want to beat someone with a broom!) but I did call, and complain, and talk to, and argue, and scream, and yell, and cry, and threaten, and so on and so forth (as reported in a previous post) most DILIGENTLY!
And guess what? They actually returned ALL my money! I really thought I'd be kissing this piece of silver good-bye! (Of course, I am still going to report these jerks!)
So, my friends and neighbors, I say unto you all, "Rejoice with me, for I got mine thousand bucks back, which hath been swindled from me!"

That is great news! But how and why did they give it back?
Amen, Sister! I am so glad. They should have never messed with you in the first place. :)

What a relief! I'm SO happy that this horrible story had a happy-ish ending that will turn into a BLISSFUL ending once you get the Canon lens you wanted in the first place!
