Weddin' at The Hitchin' Post

A few weeks ago I threw a wedding in my backyard for my mother in law.

Now this here wasn't any ol' fancy wedding, y'all - this here was a cowboy wedding. Yee Haw!

We gave these flowers as favors to all the guests.

MAde the banner with my big shot!

The tables were easy and so cute, I thought.

The bride and groom got all gussied up for the occasion. It was a beautiful ceremony.

Lots o' folks and kin cam out to help Theresa and Leon celebrate.

It was a warm day, and the waterin' hole was hoppin'!

We had some mighty tasty chow!

When all the folks left, the family hung around and had some more fun. Like blowing bubbles at grandma...

coolin' off at the old waterin' hole, riding a horse, and holding up a stagecoach.

Then thinks got crazier as kids started hurdlein' over tables...

balancin' bottles...

and pogo stickin' without hands.

It was just fun bein' together.

And then the cousins invented their own game - bobbing for oranges.

It turns out bobbing for oranges is quite a bit easier than bobbing for apples, but a bit more bitter. The competition was fierce.

It was a wonderful day, but I was completely EXHAUSTED when all was said and done!

Congratulations Grandma and Leon. Welcome to the family!
