Sending a Party Up to Grandpa

Every year in February, to celebrate our late Grandpa VanBuskirk's birthday, Grandma comes over loaded down with a helium tank and a bunch of balloons and we send a party up to Grandpa.

 Everybody writes a special message for grandma on a small piece of paper that we each put into a balloon to send upwards toward heaven.

This year the kids got as high as they could on the play thing then 

1...2...3...

... let them go!

We watched them float higher and higher and thought about our dear and loved grandfather as they went up, up, and away!  Happy Birthday Grandpa V!  We miss you!
