On Sunday we had our Relief Society visiting teaching conference and we were uplifted and inspired to do our visiting teaching, not out of a sense of guilt, but out of LOVE. It was a wonderful (weepy) conference with a wonderful message! Love is a wonderful motivating factor for doing my visiting teaching.
But so is this...

A few weeks ago when I went to visit my dear friend, and visit-teachee, Diane Caress, this beautiful specimen of a lemon berry cheesecake was sitting on her kitchen island.
She had made it for me!!!
Yah, I know. WOW!
Remember, I am her visiting teacher - not vice-versa. I know I usually bring her some cute little goodie (I love the excuse to stamp up a cute gift that usually involves chocolate) but never anything like this!
What a treat!
And while it is true that officially I am her visiting teacher, I feel so much more like she is mine! (I already have a terrific visiting teacher, so it is like having two!) I always walk away from Diane's house feeling like I have been visited. What a dear friend she is. She is truly concerned with me and my life, as I hope she knows I am of hers. I have worked under her in a presidency or two, and love and respect her as one of the most loving, most Christlike women I have ever known.
Plus, she is a mighty terrific cook.
Thus, getting one of these...
I just had to take a picture before I dug into it. (Why do I love photographing food so much???)
It was amazingly delicious! I could just taste the LOVE!!!
So remember to do your visiting teaching ladies...
For the love, of course. For the love.

Oh, you are so nice! Of coarse, I love her to pieces, but to hear someone else say and really take notice of how great my mom is...makes me proud. She does think you are the most amazing V.T.er, by the way. I hear about your visits ALL the time! And yes, she can make a mean cheesecake!!
You didn't call me to share? JK I would have called NO ONE! And hid it from my fam too!
